Lady Love Potion

Named after the Clovers song, 'Love Potion #9' (an obsession at 16), Lady Love Potion began her career playing 60s Girl Group and Wonky Soul and now also plays Funk, Boogie and Disco: deviant, gospel, and hi-nrg. Her favourite music sounds like driving around the city at night, dark, dangerous, and exciting. LLP has an unwieldy record collection and she loves to build sets that start feeling like an island holiday and end in a frenzy of 90s nostalgia. 

 

Lady Love Potion's other love is Tarot. LLP has practiced under Beth Maiden of Little Red Tarot and reads from an intersectional and queer lens. She considers Tarot as a tool to make sense of our experiences and to apply archetypes to gain understanding of ourselves and situations. LLP uses the cards to identify energy we'd like to bring into our lives. 

 

Lady Love Potion is affiliated with PBS 106.7 as a hype girl and regular guest presenter and has been a Literary festival closer and a New Year’s Day opener. As a Taurus/Aries/Virgo Tarot-reading record collecting vinyl DJ, Lady Love Potion’s enthusiasm for fun ensures a balance of cool and affectionately quirky.
